 This picture was taken by my sister when she was on a visit to Kenya, Look at the ripe cherry beans ready for picking, May is picking season and this seasons crop looks to be very good Coffee berries ready for picking
Coffee plant with green coffee berries, that have to be left on the tree till they ripen to a red colour, like the picture above. Some coffee farmers pick all the coffee berries ripe or not, but in our farm we only pick the ripe berries.

 A coffee procesing plant in central province Kenya sits empty at the end of a busy day. Such plants are used to dehusk the coffee, thats right they remove the beautiful red cherry skin and leave behind two greenish creamish twin coffee beans hopefully they are nice and big, the bigger the beans the bettter the coffee. The disc pulper recieves water and cherries that are covered with pulp and mucilage, it then proceeds to remove the pulp by squeezing, compressing and tearing.
